Part of my special collection pieces, this large,  Russian Red Octopus pendant is handcrafted in pure fine silver (999) with shells embracing a large gem of rare red sea glass that was found on the sea glass beach of Ussuri Bay, Siberia, Russia, known for its large, rare, colored pieces.  It measures approximately 2 inches wide by 2 inches long and hangs from a coral-textured bail from a 19-inch sterling sparkling twist rolo chain.  Red is the second-rarest sea glass color, after orange. High-quality red glass, which was often colored with gold, was considered a luxury item; it was not mass-produced like other colors.  This is a statement piece for serious sea glass collectors!
